What Makes a Great Countertop Installation
Whether you're browsing our gallery or evaluating a finished installation in person, here's what separates professional-grade work from the rest.
Seam Placement
Great fabricators hide seams in low-visibility areas — behind the faucet, at inside corners, or where the eye naturally doesn't rest. On islands, seams should align with a logical break point in the veining pattern. Poor seam placement is the most visible sign of careless fabrication, and it's permanent.
Edge Consistency
Run your eye along the entire edge profile — it should be perfectly uniform with no waves, divots, or inconsistent polish. This is especially telling on curved edges like bullnose and ogee, where any variation in the CNC or hand-polishing work is immediately visible.
Reveal
The small overhang of stone past the cabinet face — called the reveal — should be consistent, typically ½″ to ¾″, around the entire perimeter. Inconsistent reveal means the template was off or the installation was rushed. It's a subtle detail that separates careful work from careless work.
Backsplash Fit
Where the countertop meets the backsplash or wall, the joint should be clean and straight, with a thin bead of color-matched caulk. You should never see silicone globbed in place or visible gaps filled with excess sealant. A tight, clean joint here indicates precise templating and cutting.
Sink Cutout
For undermount sinks, the edge of the cutout should be polished smooth with a consistent reveal around the entire sink rim. The cutout corners should have a gentle radius — sharp inside corners create stress points that can crack over time, especially in natural stone.
Level Surfaces
Place a glass of water on the counter — the water line should be perfectly even, not pooling to one side. Professional installations are shimmed and leveled precisely, even when the cabinets underneath aren't perfectly level themselves. This is non-negotiable craftsmanship.

Every project in this gallery started with a conversation. Send us photos of your space — including close-ups of your current countertops, cabinet layout, and any inspiration images — and we'll typically provide a preliminary estimate within a few hours.
