The Challenge

Highland Beach properties sit directly on the Atlantic with minimal barrier between the outdoor living space and salt air. The client needed a surface that could handle direct sun, salt spray, pool chemicals, and heavy outdoor entertaining without degrading or requiring constant maintenance.

Our Approach

Absolute Black granite from India is one of the densest natural stones available — virtually non-porous when sealed, UV-stable, and resistant to thermal shock from hot grills placed directly on the surface. We fabricated a full outdoor kitchen layout including grill surround, sink station, and curved bar area, then sealed with a 15-year marine-grade penetrating sealer.

The Result

A dramatic black outdoor kitchen that contrasts beautifully against the blue ocean, green landscaping, and white architecture of the Highland Beach estate. Three years of coastal exposure and heavy use have produced zero visible wear.

Fabricated by our Boca Marble division for a Highland Beach oceanfront estate. Absolute Black granite is the ultimate outdoor surface for coastal Florida — its near-zero porosity, UV stability, and thermal resistance make it the countertop equivalent of a marine-grade material. This Highland Beach installation includes a full grill surround rated for direct heat exposure, a prep station with undermount sink, and a curved bar area that seats six. The polished finish creates a mirror-like surface that reflects tropical landscaping and ocean sky, making the outdoor kitchen feel like an extension of both the home and the natural environment around it.
