The Challenge
The client wanted a fully immersive marble bathroom where every surface—vanity, backsplash, floor, and shower walls—used the same Statuario marble. Coordinating book-matched slabs across five different surface planes while maintaining vein continuity was the core fabrication challenge.
Our Approach
We reserved six consecutive slabs from a single Statuario block, mapped the vein direction across all surfaces in our CAD system before cutting, and fabricated every piece in sequence to ensure the marble story reads continuously from floor to vanity to wall to shower. The ogee edge on the double vanity adds classical refinement while the full-height backsplash creates a dramatic backdrop for the frameless mirror.
The Result
A spa-level bathroom that photographs as a single flowing stone environment. The ocean view through the floor-to-ceiling window creates a dialogue between natural stone and natural water that the client describes as 'the most peaceful room in the home.'
Project Details
This Boca Raton beachfront condo bathroom is a study in material immersion. The homeowner, a frequent traveler who had experienced the world's finest hotel bathrooms, wanted that same level of stone continuity in their primary suite. We specified Statuario marble—prized for its bright white base and bold grey veining—and reserved six consecutive slabs from a single quarry block. Our fabrication team mapped the vein direction across five surface planes (floor, vanity top, backsplash, shower walls, and tub surround) using CAD software before any cutting began. The result is a bathroom where the marble veining flows logically from surface to surface, creating the illusion of being carved from a single massive stone. The double vanity features an ogee edge profile that adds classical warmth, while the full-height slab backsplash behind serves as both a functional surface and a dramatic art piece. The freestanding soaking tub is positioned beside floor-to-ceiling glass, creating a daily experience where natural stone and Atlantic Ocean exist in the same frame. Building logistics required coordination with the condo association for freight elevator access, hallway protection, and construction-hour compliance.
