Granite Countertops FAQ

Do you seal natural stone countertops after installation?
Yes. We seal granite, quartzite, and marble surfaces as part of our installation process. Natural stone should be resealed periodically after that—typically once a year for kitchen granite, and as needed for marble and quartzite depending on use. We can walk you through the resealing process or recommend products at install.
What countertop material is best for outdoor kitchens in South Florida?
Porcelain is the top choice for South Florida outdoor kitchens—it is UV-stable, non-porous, handles extreme heat, and resists salt air. Quartzite and granite are also strong outdoor options. Engineered quartz should be avoided outdoors because the resin binder is sensitive to UV and most manufacturer warranties exclude outdoor applications.
Should I choose quartz or granite?
Quartz is lower maintenance, never needs sealing, and offers consistent color and pattern across slabs. Granite is a natural stone with unique veining, better heat resistance, and a one-of-a-kind look that varies slab to slab. In South Florida, quartz is the most popular choice for busy kitchens because of its stain resistance and low upkeep. Granite is preferred for homeowners who want natural stone character and plan to seal annually. Quartz runs $55–$95/sq ft installed; granite runs $45–$85/sq ft. Visit our Pompano Beach showroom to compare both side-by-side.
