Our Installation Warranty
Every countertop installation by Florida Countertop Factory is backed by our 2-year craftsmanship warranty covering all fabrication and installation workmanship — seams, cutouts, edge profiles, support structures, and adhesive bonds. If anything we fabricated or installed develops an issue related to our work within that period, we'll return and correct it at no additional cost. In over a decade of installations across South Florida, our warranty claim rate remains under 1% — a reflection of the standards we hold ourselves to before the countertop ever leaves our shop.
Fabrication Quality
CNC cutting at ±0.5mm tolerance, edges hand-finished progressively up to 3000-grit for a true polished finish, and every seam dry-fitted in our shop before it ever reaches your home. We inspect each piece under direct lighting for chip-outs, lippage, and finish consistency.
Installation Integrity
All overhangs exceeding 10 inches are reinforced with steel support brackets per industry standards. Seams are bonded with color-matched adhesive and leveled flush. All natural stone receives an initial application of penetrating sealer on-site before we leave.
Material Fit
Our laser templating system is accurate to within 1/16 of an inch. We template only AFTER your cabinets are fully installed and leveled — never from blueprints or rough measurements. If our measurements result in a fitting issue, we correct it at our expense.

Manufacturer Warranties
In addition to our installation warranty, the countertop materials themselves carry manufacturer warranties that vary by brand and material type:
Quartz
Caesarstone offers a 25-year residential warranty, Cambria offers a transferable lifetime warranty, and Silestone provides 25-year coverage. All require professional installation — we provide the installation documentation and proof of purchase needed to activate your manufacturer warranty. Coverage typically includes manufacturing defects like cracking, blistering, or color inconsistency under normal use.
Granite
Natural granite is billions of years old and incredibly durable, but proper sealing is the key to its longevity in a kitchen environment. We recommend resealing every 12–18 months — especially important in South Florida, where higher humidity can accelerate moisture absorption in unsealed stone. Our fabrication and initial sealer application are fully warranted.
Marble & Quartzite
Marble is inherently softer (Mohs hardness 3–4) and WILL etch from citrus, wine, or any acidic substance — this is a natural reaction, not a defect. Quartzite (Mohs 7) is significantly harder and more resistant to scratching and etching. Both require sealing. Our fabrication and installation work is fully warranted, and we provide acid-sensitivity guidance specific to your stone selection.
Porcelain
Dekton by Cosentino offers a 25-year warranty and is UV-stable, heat-resistant up to 300°C, and virtually scratch-proof — making it ideal for South Florida outdoor kitchens and barbecue areas where sun exposure and heat are constant. Neolith offers similar coverage. These warranties cover manufacturing defects, staining, and UV degradation.

Common Care Mistakes That Void Warranties or Damage Stone
We see these mistakes regularly — often from well-intentioned homeowners who simply weren't told what to avoid. Save yourself the headache:
Windex, Bleach, or Acidic Cleaners
Windex contains ammonia, bleach is alkaline, and vinegar is acidic — all three break down sealers on natural stone over time. Stick to pH-neutral stone cleaners or plain dish soap and water.
Hot Pots Directly on Quartz
Unlike natural stone, engineered quartz contains resin that can discolor from thermal shock at temperatures above 300°F. Always use a trivet. This damage is cosmetic and not covered by manufacturer warranties.
Using the Surface as a Cutting Board
Knives won't damage steel, but they will scratch polished stone finishes — especially quartz and marble. The micro-scratches dull the surface over time and can't be buffed out without professional refinishing.
Ignoring Standing Water Near Seams
Water that sits in seams or along wall joints can eventually wick underneath and stain from below, especially on lighter granites and marbles. Wipe seams dry after heavy cleaning.
Sealing Quartz Surfaces
Quartz is non-porous and never needs sealing. Applying a generic 'granite sealer' to quartz can actually cloud the surface or create a hazy film that's difficult to remove.
Dragging Heavy Appliances
Sliding a KitchenAid mixer, heavy crockpot, or cast iron pan across the surface can chip edges or scratch the finish. Always lift appliances — or place them on a silicone mat.
Abrasive Scrub Pads
Steel wool and green Scotch-Brite pads will scratch most stone finishes. Bar Keeper's Friend (the liquid version) is safe for quartz and granite but too acidic for marble. Use a soft cloth for marble and quartzite.
Sitting or Standing on Countertops
Countertop stone is incredibly hard but also brittle, especially over unsupported spans near sinks or dishwashers. Point loading can crack the slab where there's no cabinet support below.
DIY Stone Care Calendar
A simple maintenance schedule keeps your countertops looking like installation day for decades:
Wipe surfaces with warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap. Dry with a soft cloth — especially around seams and near the stove where grease accumulates.
Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner (like StoneTech or Granite Gold Daily Cleaner). Spray, let sit for 30 seconds, and wipe. This removes film buildup that water alone misses.
Inspect seams and edges for any loosening, chipping, or caulk separation along the wall line. Catching small issues early prevents bigger problems. Call us if anything looks off.
Reseal granite and marble surfaces with a quality impregnating sealer. Quartz and porcelain do NOT need sealing. The water-drop test tells you when it's time: if water absorbs within 5 minutes rather than beading, reseal.
Treat stubborn stains with a poultice — a paste of baking soda and water (for oil stains) or baking soda and hydrogen peroxide (for organic stains) applied under plastic wrap for 24 hours. The poultice draws the stain out of the stone's pores.
