Yes. We seal granite, quartzite, and marble surfaces as part of our installation process. Natural stone should be resealed periodically after that—typically once a year for kitchen granite, and as needed for marble and quartzite depending on use. We can walk you through the resealing process or recommend products at install.

Porcelain is the top choice for South Florida outdoor kitchens—it is UV-stable, non-porous, handles extreme heat, and resists salt air. Quartzite and granite are also strong outdoor options. Engineered quartz should be avoided outdoors because the resin binder is sensitive to UV and most manufacturer warranties exclude outdoor applications.

Quartzite is a natural stone formed from metamorphosed sandstone—it comes out of the ground with unique veining and variation, and needs sealing like other natural stones. Engineered quartz is a manufactured product made from ground quartz bound with resin—it needs no sealing and offers consistent, predictable patterning. Despite the similar names, they are completely different materials with different care requirements and appearances.
